Hi. Me wok. Stuff happens to me. Actually my life is pretty boring but I like it that way so tats ok. I work at a cemetery (lol!!!) in the IT department and drive a blue Magna with annoying gearbox problems. But I just spent my disposable savings on a new camera (priorities) so it'll have to wait a bit to get fix0red.

I live in a shared flat with the most absent co-tenant ever. By absent, I mean not there. He pays his share of the rent etc when I nag him but I haven't even seen him for like 3 months. So it's like my own apartment at half the cost w00t! I actually wanna move out the the burbs and get a house with a backyard but thats not gonna happen on my current wage. Depends on what I can wring out of work next year (my contract comes up 31st December). An extra 3 grand or so a year would swing it. Depends on how I go on the major project.

This major project at work is like sooo exciting for me (a geek first year out of uni). Work is building a new office and I have to implement a completley new IT infrastructure (phones, computers, servers etc). Basically teh boss said "heres $x, do it". Some of the constraints are nuts tho. We have to move from the old building over 3 days (from 5pm Friday till 5pm Sunday), WHILE WE ARE OPEN!!!!! Like the cemetery office is a 8-5 thing so basically I have to do it all from 5pm Friday to 8am Saturday. Sux. Also, we can't leave the old equipment in the old building while we settle in to the new coz it's getting demolished starting Wed of that week!!!! lolf. So I'll prolly have to work continuosly all weekend. Teh boss sez they might get a room at a nearby motel so I can like sleep for a couple of hours and then go back to it. That would be nice. MINIBAR!!!

Also, I'm not allowed to get outside help to move our stuff. We are the department with the hugest amount of crap to move and it's just me and maybe 1 other staffmember to move it all, whilst at the same time installing 6 servers and 40 computer workstations. lolf. Oh yeah, they still don't know what weekend the move will be on. Some time between 1st August and 16th September. über-lolf.

Other than that, the job is stress free and the staff are wonderful. The company treats us really well too. Better than when I used to work at Safeway; that paid well but the customers were often arseholes. And it was stressful too.
