I haven't blogged for days. I think it's coz I don't get enough fibre. Or that nothing actually happens to me.
Actually, reading other ppls blogs, I have a damn normal life. yay for mee.
Teh boss is absent from work today so i'm not achieving much. It's not that I'm a bludger, its just that I don't have a lot to do. Some busywork is about it.
I am uber broke at the moment, and to make it worse I have to pay another $695 tax. Prolly coz of the HECS. When I signed in for work, I'm sure I checked the boxes for SFSS and HECS but I think they've been using the wrong tax tables, or whatever it is. Bugger. At least it's not due till end November.
Then I've got $250 for internet and $260 for phone. The phone is silly, but I can understand what they are doing. The bills were auto issued by the computer so it has both my old number (Thornbury) and my new (Thomastown). = $95 * 2 + $60 connection fee for the new number. Then when the old number gets disco'd next month they refund the remainder onto the next bill. *sigh*.
I was gonna charge Alan more seing as he isn't helping with the cleanup, but then I do have the use of his furniture so I guess it evens out. 'Bout mid August I'll get hit with electricity (about 180$) and gas (about 20$) which will suck. Plus the rent (18/08) = $608. I can pay it all, but it's gonna be tight. I've tightened up the grocery bills to help. At least I use less petrol now coz of the freeway.
Having a garage (well, a carport) for the car is a blessing. I don't have to scrape the ice off the winshields every morning now. That reminds me, I need to clean the windows on the flat.
I poisoned the grass on the path in the backyard with roundup, but they are still thriving so I'll have to give them another go. The lawn needs m0wing again, even tho it's only been 1.7 weeks since last time. It'll just have to wait till I have some money. Someone at work sed they sell off the equipment here regularly but I don't know how long that is away. I wanna get into the garden, but again, money.
Alfalfa, margarine, orange juice, milk, frozen chips, fish, broccoli, bananas, apples, compact flourescent lights, weather stripping, soup. And the change from $100
Thanks

Got Net? I do. The adsl internub was connected yesterday so I can recover from my withdrawals. It's amazing how much spare time I have to do other stuff when I am without broadband. /me giggles.
The stupid sony monitor I recieved free is a little dodgy. The picture is ok but it won't sync to most resolutions. It works for 1152x864 at 60Hz but no higher refresh, 1280x768, 864, 960 at 60, 72, 75, 85 Hz fine but no 1280x1024. Those weird ones in the middle aren't 4:3 so the screen looks stretched. So I'm reduced to running at 60Hz :( At least with a dichroic lamp I won't get any flicker. And it's still miles above my old monitor. I can't find a inf file for it which i reckon might help a bit. I will google around later.
Ran lots of cables down the hall from the HT amp to the computer. Needed phone, antenna, 2xanalog audio, digital audio, video and network. As you would expect the video bleeds a bit on highlights coz it's going through about 6 metres of cable. My tv doesn't have y/c input tho so I can't really fix that. I might try running it through the length of rg-6 i have altho thats 50 ohm and not 75. I still imagine the 6-m composite is better than what I would get out of a link transmitter thingy.
Not having solid brick internal walls means the 802.11b works a lot better too. I get 'excellent - 11Mb' everywhere in the flat from the little 2dB dipole I am using on the server. I'll have to look at RADIUS to secure it so no one leeches off mee.
lalalalala, BORK!

Well i'm still buggered, but now I'm broke too. :(
The parental units came down on the weekend to help me move my stuff, coz they've got a van. But I was waiting for them at the new flat and mumz0r called and said that the van was having engine problems. So I was like, fark, now what. But they persisted and drove it down anyway. Turns out that it was just losing a cylinder under heavy load which is weird, coz dads replaced everything (plugs, leads, distributor, electronic ignition etc) but the coil. So looks like that could be the culprit.
Anyways, it took 3 loads to move my stuff. Theres still a table and 3 chairs and some books at the old flat but thats Alan's problem. I'll go back this weekend and clean it so the carpet person can then do the washy thing. (twas a condition on our lease) I think I'll charge Alan an inflated price for the carpet cleaning coz the fucker has done almost no cleaning the past 2 years, and left me to clean after we move and stuff. Fuckim.
The new flat looked shitty when it was empty but it's ok now it's full of stuff. I still havent put everything away so one room is still almost full of boxes. I need to get underneath it and run phone, video and audio and network cables from the study to the lounge room but theres no rush for that coz the internet ADSL doesn't come on till Friday.
Changed the address for home insurance, car insurance, 3 banks, RACV, (gas, elec, water, phone) mobile phone, work, registration. Still have to do IEAUST, Heart Foundation, Blood Bank and anything else I think of. Jeez.
Oldies brought down the mower-er too so I got the grass done out the back. That garden needs a LOT of work but that will be later when I have money. I have a fetish for conifer ferns (which are like 30 bucks each) so that will be a slow process.
Tonight I guess I'll hook up the pc and stuff. I scored a 17 inch trinitron monitor (not flat tho) which is heaps better than my 6 year old 15 inch thingy, so I'll put a PCI video card and go dual monitor. Also got a newish 14 inch that can go on the server. Work is getting rid of a lot of old stuff and being in IT I get first dibs. Yay.

I GOT THE FLATz0r!!! Teh real estate person (Krystal) rang today and sed I was approved, so thats w00gie. I gots to pay teh bond on monday and teh first months rent on friday, i get the keys then. Parental units are coming down with the Toyota Hi-ace (van) on Saturday to move my stuff.
I wrote up a 'notice to vacate' letter today but my printer is out of ink so i can't print it. Alan is coming over tomorrow to sign it so i guess i'll have to hand-write it. So 1980s....
Mums and Dads are giving me a table and some chairs from home that they don't use so that saves me some money. I can wait for a bit to buy a sofa. I'll also need to buy more cookware coz most of that was Anals. That will be a gradual thing tho. At least I have the major stuff: Two fridges, Microwave, bed, washing machine etc.
Have to ring telstra and get the phone on then iinet and get the adsl shifted and find out who does the gas and leccy and get that connected and the water etc. And do it all in reverse at the old flat too. phew. Coz I know alan is gonna be useless.
hmmmm.
Well I inspected and applied for that flat in Thomastown. IT's a bit run down but whatd'ya expect for 140/w. Prolly bout the same size as the one i'm in now, it's hard to tell without all the furniture in. Alans room looks HUGE coz he took his bed and stuff on Monday. I noticed he vacuumed it too, but he didn't vacuum anywhere else. fckr.
Anyway, there was like 15 ppl at the inspection of the flat on Tuesday night. A few looked like uni students and such. My boss sez I have less chance of getting it coz I'm single. Then again, I see my self as more chance then uni students. lolf.
There is anoter apartment in PascoeVale that would be ok too. It's 150/w but has a garage so that would be wurth it. Problem is, from the photo it looks like it shares walls on both sides. I hate shared walls coz teh noise goes right through. meh, i'll wait till monday and then go look at if (coz I could assume that the one in thomastown fell through)
I wish (again) friggin Woolworths would send me my group certificate. I don't get why it takes them so long, it's just a report run on their computer. I got mine from FCMP on the 1/7. Thats a quality employer.

Zuh. That is such a good word. ZUH! It's like meh but as a question.
Anal was back last night so I got little sleep again. He did have the teevee down quiet but his computer was loud and at night, any noise is too much. On the subject of anal, and his moving out (if he ever decides) there is a most suitable flat in Thomastown that I shall endeavour to inspect this week. $140 per week should leave me $150 a week for food and incidentals after I take out all the bills. Hope it's still available.
Feel a bit under the weather today, but Saturday was ACE coz Ty came to visit. It had been two weeks since we saw each other last. *sigh* Ty has been going to the gym again and so is looking sexier than ever. mmmmmm.
I wish Woolworths would hurry up with my group certificate. I wanna get my tax in ASAP. I don't think work has been taking out my HECS and SFSS loan thingies out of my PAYG tax so I might expect a 900$ bill from the ATO (less any returns). Fuckers.

Ok so well. I'm on a diet/excersise thingy again. I was getting changed after a shower and noticed teh gutzor :(. I think it's more a lack of excersize than a bad diet. I haven't jogged for a couple of weeks coz of a sore leg (pulled muscle). Need to start again.
Gyms. Is there a worse place in the world? I hate them. You've got the fatso grunters sweating away and the über sexz0rs showing off. I prefer to excersise at home, thanks very much.
Anyway, I was in a cleaning mood this morning so I cleaned up the office. Man,all the shit we have to go through to throw out old equipment. (Paraphrased) "You need to get all this information and record it (model, serial, date, type, color, failure etc) so that if someone throws it through a window and we get called we can say 'we threw it out such and such'". Thats just insane.
Styrofoam. Don't get me started about styrofoam. It fills up the bins double time. And then someone leaves the lid open and it all blows out. Being a BIG purchasing period (end of fin year for example) theres a lot of new equipment about and thus styrofoam everywhere.
I don't feel like cleaning anymore so I'll go and work on the stupid web site again. Work Such a nusciance getting updates approved. When I make a change I have to print (PRINT!!!) it out and give it to the boss so he can give it to the über boss who then keeps it for 2 weeks and then emails me to ask what it was for. I suppose there are 'the public face of the trust' issues but it makes my job hard.
end rant

Weel I came to work at 630am today to fix the mailserver (it has to be done out of hours) which corrupted it's exch directory again. Only to find that it had fixed itself overnight. Sodding piece of crap.
It's cold and my tea tastes funny, I think I have flu or something.
Dum de dum, lalalala etc.
