To all staff who use the kitchen,
Unfortunately it seems that people are falling back into the old habit of leaving dishes to soak, etc, and forget to come back to wash, dry and put them away.
Once you have finished using a plate, spoon, cup, etc, wash it, dry it and put it away straight away and then it isn’t left for someone else to do for you.
Like we’ve mentioned previously, it is not up to the cleaners to wash our dishes – nor is it up to the person on the kitchen duty roster to wash your dishes for you.
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO WASH IT – THEN DON’T USE IT…!
QUITE SIMPLE REALLY!!!
Please make a note of the date you are rostered on kitchen duty in your Outlook Calendar so someone doesn’t have to remind you of that also. If you are not going to be available, please arrange for someone else to cover for you.
Attached is a copy of the Kitchen Duty Roster. If you need to view this at any time, you can access it from the shared file under the General Information Folder.

"Concerned" "Women" "for America" give us the "Top 10 Reasons to
Support the Marriage Affirmation and Protection Amendment"
Ok it's american, but a similar debate is/was raging here. Nameley, same sex marriage.
I don't want marriage. Marriage is for straight couples. It's a religious-based ceremony (allright, so it doesn't have to be but was origionally) which is recognised by the state. I find all religion repugnant so thats more reason to not want it.
However should one choose to commit to ones partner it would be equitable to enjoy the benefits given to defacto relationships, which in the eyes of the state are marriage without the ticket.
All my relationships have been longish, the shortest being about eight months (I think). So yeah, theres evidence of commitment there.

Went out tonight for a bit with some old aquaintances. After a few hours I was bored as hell so I pretended my girlfriend (hehe) called me on my mobile and I left. ...and went home.
My computer is giving me the shits. It takes so long to load on a 5400RPM drive so I grabbed the two 20gig I had spare and slapped them onto the fastrack66 raid card. Which meant a reinstall so I did. It worked a lot faster but when on the new install I added the drivers for the fastrack-on-board card the whole thing shit itself. Tried a bit of different stuff for an hour (drivers, etc) and then gave up and put the old drive back in. Promise's world-renowned SHIT drivers. See, the on board raid has two 40 gig 7200 drives attached to it, but being an on board 'lite' fast track card it only supports 1 device per channel. Hence two drives only. The FT66 card I've had since 1998 i think and it can have two devices per channel. So I figured I'd disable the on board and use all the drives on the one card. Except the cables won't reach. Damn UDMA 300mm cable limit. gagh.
Anyways I scored a new (old) burner from work that does 24x which rocks compared to my old 6x burner.
It seems I'm not going to Sydney for work anymore coz they say they can make do with the one person. Which means less effort for me although I wouldn't have minded a junket. waaa etc.
Superb rain on Friday. Garden nice and soggy. Oh yeah, Friday night the power went off so I had to use tea candles for about 2 hours. Thank god for the laptop (batteries) or else I'd have been totally without anything geekable. waaaa etc.
I am totally broke after a $240 internet bill, $150 electricity and $220 phone bill all due on the same day. I need to get mum a pressie for mothers day on the 9th too. Shizen and waaaa etc.
My parents are coming down on the 22nd to bring my garden shed (hehe). I was gonna get a wall/tv unit the same weekend coz they have a station wagon (it won't fit in my car) but I don't know if I can scrimp together the money now. It's not important anyway. I really need to do something about my spare room as theres like computer shit everywhere (as Matthew will testify) and it's really ugly. Thats another thing that needs money though.
I had tearoom duty on Friday so I made my cheesecake again. And some sausage rolls. They always go over well. I don't accept praise well though. Heh. I find it hard to be gracious. Guess thats coz I'm hella selfish.
Actually, it's getting hard to remember who I'm 'out' to and who not. It's like when you tell a lie to someone, but other people know the truth. Thats exactly what it is. I'm a long way from any declaration of intent though. I know mum would be ok with it (dad probably too) but I can't imagine my grandparents understanding. We're not that close anyway. Then theres work. Theres already two people there (female) but as I've started with a lie it's hard to decide to break. Actually it's none of their damn business anyway. But when I get invited to those big affairs with 'Lachlan and partner' do I go stag (and be bored to death) or what. Most of those things would be too sophisticated for Ty anyway. Damn that makes me sound evil but he is rather immature. Again, selfish mee. Whenever I start getting close to other people (guys) I pull away though coz I get this self-deprecating thing like I have nothing to offer and shit. Never had much self confidence. Thank got for my stint at Woolworths tho or else I'd be a hermit or something. That place pulled me out of my shell heaps. Yes, I was worse.
I hate this time of year when the leaves fall off the vines etc. The grounds at work look fucking fantastic as they have all the big deciduous trees that change color. My garden is a uniform green. :( I learnt heaps in the 8 months I've been here though and if I were to start again (nope) I could really produce a stunning garden. However in weather like we've been having I'm glad I don't work outside.
Yeah what the fuck is wrong with my webcam. It's come over all fuzzy with heaps of lines on it. Since I formatted. Could be something to do with the different USB hardware maybe.

Yer so I went home for perfectly normal long weekend (aka easter for non-atheists) and worked my arse off. Managed to change the gearbox oil in my car finally and it's a bit smoother now. Then concreted and fenced all weekend.
Matthew came down and crashed at my house. I prolly bored him to hell as I had to work so didn't really go out with him. I'm not much for going out during the week. Specially coz i start so early. Plus i live a zillion miles from the city.

lalala
Nothing planned for this weekend. Except getting my ears lowered.
Had a really long chat (with webcam!) with Fran last night which was nice. He's so cute mmmm. I think I shall shortly play the 'i need to see you more' card with Ty and if he doesn't come to the party then suggest we should see other people. Which is a shame coz I do like him a lot. Aside from what I complain about with him so much. ie Chews with mouth open (mentioned multiple times), immature, drives with cruise control ALL the time (which scares the fuck out of me), etc. Now i get to see him once a week at most for a few hours coz he's trying to avoid his parents finding out he's a fag (which i can understand and have accepted for the past few months), but I need more. I guess i'm selfish, yay. I'm also worried that I can't get anyone better than him and I really don't want to hurt him coz he just loves me for me which makes me feel like a heartless bastard. Plus I hate all his music (boy bands? puleeeeze). It's not like i don't enjoy the time we spend together and he is gorgeous which makes me wonder why he went out with me in the first place. I guess i'm just shallow.
I levelled the area where the shed will be which was bloody hard work coz the ground was very hard. Ended up having to cut down about 8 inches on the high side and build up about 4 inches on the low side. It looks nice now. At least the paving area will be easier to level if I ever get around to it coz theres not as much height to compensate for. Shame pavers are so expensive.
Finished watching firefly, nuts to Fox for cancelling it. I hope you burn in hell you pack of dickheads. You wouldn't know a good tv show if it reached up out of the toilet, grabbed your colon and inserted 105 feet of betamax digital.
Downloaded an ACE cd of Glenn Miller songs that has been remastered or re-recorded recently in DTS!!!! It's ace although I think they went a bit insane with the reverb. Makes my lounge room sound like a concert hall. *doof doof doof* in a 60s swingin way. (all the lamers with their dodgy analoge cd players just hear white noise - w00t take that frenchies)
